This month, 5280 released their must-anticipated, annual list: The 25 Best Restaurants.

#1 on the list? Boulder’s own Frasca. There are three other Boulder restaurants that graced the list, as well.

In the words of the 5280 staff:

After many months of eating, hours of analyzing hundreds of dishes, and untold numbers of discussions, we have compiled a list of the most compelling places to dine in Denver—and beyond. We hope our choices, and the order in which they’re ranked, incite discussion—not to mention many nights out on the town.

You can learn more about how they made their decision here. At a high-level, they assign points to every dish that they try (and they revisit restaurants over and over). They then average those points and give a restaurant an overall score. They allow points for service and ambiance, as well.

I think it was clear that this years list is pretty varied from last year, showing new restaurants hitting the scene and creating strong competition regionally.
