A S’more Party + Giveaway

A large part of Colorado culture is the beautiful Rocky Mountains and spending our time climbing, sliding, in and on them. Of course, one of my favorite winter activities is heading up I-70 (well, that part I don’t enjoy as much) up to the many resorts we have at our fingertips to snowboard.

Tucked a bit further than most resorts, is the special Beaver Creek. If you make your way to Beaver Creek, the lodging is at the Park Hyatt Creek Resort & Spa at the foot of the mountain.

Recently, I learned of a fun tradition they have at the end of the day (tied into my favorite aprรจs ski) – at 4 PM, they offer homemade s’mores on their patio, around a fire pit. How fun!

My friend Mike, the S’more King enjoying some s’mores in Colorado

I was able to enjoy some of the homemade marshmallows including creamsicle, coffee and vanilla. Although we didn’t have snow on the ground, I imagined I was at the base of the mountain in my snow gear toasting up a perfect s’more.

The Park Hyatt wants to spread their s’more cheer with a contest and special deal that they’re extending to Grace(full) Plate readers. Jump on in, it’s a good one!

Just left a comment on their site. My flavor recommendation is a Root Beer flavor. Nothing sounds better than root beer s’mores to me.

Uh, yum! My fav way to enjoy s’more (gluten free) is with (dairy free) chocolate, vanilla flavored marshmallows topped with a spinkling of sea salt.

As a former camp counselor, I LOVE smores. Some favorite flavors include Lavender and Beer Marshmallows. Also, replacing the chocolate with a reeses cup is especially decadent. ๐Ÿ™‚

How about bacon and maple flavored marshmallows!!

Toast that bad boy marshmallow to crispy (Because I love my bacon crispy!) and blanket that badboy with fire-side chocolate and graham crackers…And then all of a sudden, the classic American S’more will get some Rocky Mountain rustic love!

OMG. OMG. OMG. S’mores are my favorite thing in the entire world. 75% of my Pinterests have to do with s’mores. I love to use Chocolove bars as they’re super rich and have so many different flavors.

I stayed at Park Hyatt for a wedding two years ago and was running around and never got to eat the s’mores. = (

Mmmmm! I love smores! They are best eaten by the campfire, of course – but at home over the gas burner sometimes has to work in a smoremergency. I love them double chocolately with chocolate grahams, or on a shortbread cookie. Oooh, what about a triple chocolate smore?! Chocolate graham, milk chocolate bar, and chocolate marshmallow? Decadent! Or something to make you feel even warmer from the inside out… whiskey marshmallow!

Favorite way to eat s’mores? I’ve tried s’mores in various ways, but really, sometimes an oldie really is a goodie – the old fashioned campfire method works best for me!

My favorite way to eat s’mores has always been at the end of a day of camping and being outdoors! Would love to add something salty to the mix – almonds or peanuts perhaps! Yum! Oh and hot cocoa to wash it down ๐Ÿ˜‰

The best way- is to add your classic ingredients (grahm, chocolate, mellow) but add in coconut flakes, and if you want to get extra wild you can add small chunks of carmel- roast mellow- and put on grahm with coconut and carmel close to fire to let all the ingredients party together. Put in your mouth and chew with eyes closed. N-joy.
