In October, Boulder is hosting its first food film festival brought to us from the International Film Series, the Boulder Public Library, Boulder food enthusiasts and local businesses.

Albeit small, this is a great foray into providing independent, interesting films revolving around food in our community.

When: October 9-13th

Where: All films except Garlic is as Good as Ten Mothers will be hosted by the International Film Series at Muenzinger Auditorium on CU’s campus.

Price: International Film Series tickets are $7 for general admission, $6 with CU-Boulder student ID, and $6 for seniors. You may purchase a food film festival pass for $25. This gets you admission to all five films at Muenzinger as well as free parking validation at the Euclid Auto-Park garage. Pick one up at any IFS screening, or at Absolute Vinyl Records and Stereo at 5360 Arapahoe Avenue in Boulder. Keep in mind Garlic is as Good as Ten Mothers is a free screening at the Boulder Public Library‘s Canyon Theater.

Special Events: There are a host of events pre-film that are being hosted by local businesses in the food industry such as a special wine tasting at Bramble & Hare, a Hummus Throwdown at Shine Restaurant & Gathering Place and more. You can learn more about attending these events and their details here.

Learn more: Visit the event website at chow-down.com. They’re on Facebook and Twitter (@BoulderFoodFilm), as well.
