Grace(full) Plate Wins Best Food Blog in Westword’s Web Awards

by Grace Boyle on November 26, 2012

I was honored to learn that Grace(full) Plate was not only nominated (who voted, because thank you) as a top 5 finalist in WestWord’s annual Web Awards under Best Food Blog – but that I actually won!

I was among finalists who are friends and longtime, respected bloggers so I am honored to have won. It’s exciting to be recognized as I’ve been blogging since 2007 but the food blog in particular, has been live since October 2010.

I’m so proud to be part of this Colorado community and to have the opportunity to write about food, farmers, food entrepreneurs,  and restaurants. I started this blog simply because I loved food and writing and thought – why not blend the two? I had no idea what it would become and even as I speak, it is still evolving.

I hope to continue to provide education, highlight folks who are doing it right in the food world and to bring joy. That is my simple wish.

Thank you to all who voted – I didn’t even know the votes were being tallied or that the awards were underway so I didn’t even get a chance to vote for anyone (or myself for that matter) 😉

You can see all the winners here!

Much love to you all. Mangia!

Congratulations Grace! I wish I had been current with my RSS feeds – I would have congratulated you in person when we bumped into each other a couple of days ago. Glad to see your passions are appreciated by others.
