Pure Inventions Antioxidants

by Grace Boyle on October 3, 2012

I stumbled across Pure Inventions in a funny way.

My dad (who happens to be a gemologist) was on business on the East Coast and he sent me an email, describing someone he met with who also happened to be a partner in called Pure that provided antioxidant fruit extracts. Of course he copies that partner on the email and we begin talking immediately. My dad loves repping Grace(full) Plate while he also knows my taste and appreciation for wellness products.

I then spoke with Lynne Gerhards and Lori Mulligan, the two creators of Pure, both of which are Certified Clinical Nutritionists and Nutritional Consultants. Founded in 2003 out of New Jersey, their vision is to create and sustain nutritional, liquid supplements for not only their clients but as a line of healthy products for all to enjoy.

Lynne and Lori were kind enough to send me a few samples so I could taste and try their lines (from green tea extracts, antioxidant fruit extracts and antioxidant cocoa). All of their products have no calories, no caffeine, no preservatives and are gluten-free. The concept is simple, you just add to water and you have a high antioxidant hydration.

One of my favorites was when I poured myself some cold water on a sunny Saturday with a few slices of lemon and a droplet full of the cranberry elderberry. It was lightly sweetened but made drinking water even more enticing and I couldn’t wait to have more. You can see in the photo below, on the right, my water becomes slightly more pink after I’ve added the cranberry elderberry.

I loved that they feature varying recipe ideas if you want to mix it up like adding vodka to make a cocktail or something for colder months with hot water, Wild Cherry Apple + Resveratrol (from Pure) and a sprinkle of cinnamon or a cinnamon stick.

Their products range from about $29-40 (give or take, depending on the product or size) and that really stretches as there are 60 servings in a 2 ounce glass bottle. You can buy directly from their website online and I encourage you to try them out. They’re really wonderful and when you’re spending money on your health, it’s always worth it.

Personally, I can’t get enough by adding it to my water. I’ve found it encourages me to drink more water throughout the day at work. I leave one of the bottles at my office and it’s like having a little treat, because my water tastes sweetened (think instead of soda or juice with high-fructose corn syrup) this adds a nice little jazz to your day.

Pure’s products are uncomplicated and enjoyable, perfect for anyone on the go but looking to stay healthy.
