This is a basic snickerdoodle cookie recipe, but in the winter months these cookies are so delicious with hot cocoa or a warm bevie.
This year I’m resolving to bake more and these cookies are easy. You really can’t go wrong.
Snickerdoodle Cookies
You Will Need:
- 1 cup butter (softened)
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 2 eggs
- 2 3/4 cups flour
- 1 Tsp. baking soda
- 1/4 Tsp. salt
- 3 Tsp. sugar
- 3 Tsp. cinnamon
Method:
Preheat oven to 350°F.
Ensure you’ve let your butter soften prior to cooking.
Mix softened butter, 1 1/2 cups sugar and eggs thoroughly in a large bowl.
Combine flour, baking soda and salt in a separate bowl. Blend and fold the dry ingredients into butter mixture.
Mix 3 tablespoons sugar, and 3 teaspoons cinnamon in a small bowl.
Scoop 1 inch rounds of dough into the sugar cinnamon mixture. Coat by gently rolling balls of dough in the sugar/cinnamon mixture.
Place on chilled ungreased cookie sheet, and bake 10 minutes.
