When you envision a Colorado brewery, you may not automatically think that running goes hand-in-hand like beer and pizza might, but to the owners of Shoes and Brews in Longmont, they love both equally and decided to “marry” the two into one concept.
Described as the “mullet” concept – they’ve got business in front with a high-end, quality running store and the party in the back, with their brewery that features their own house made brews, and 20 Colorado taps from local breweries.
I sat with the Shoes and Brews team – it’s a labor of love with six owners, which is compromised of family or close friends, and I wrote about them in Boulder Weekly. You can read the story here: “Making a beer run” and I hope you check them out.
Their inclusive spirit and great community they’ve built is evident, no matter what side of the business you may visit.
